2 weeks old

I wish I could use my brain and form some complete thoughts and have the time to come on here at least every other day and give updates on how we are doing...but for those of you that have had a newborn in your home pretty much know how we are doing. He's eating, peeing, pooping, sleeping and crying. Yep, that pretty much it. So I am at least going to try to post here once a week.
2 weeks old
Still sleeping at 9AM this morning!
(And still has quite a cone head!)

If I had written something yesterday I would have told you how freaking exhausted I was. I only got 4 hours of sleep and one of those hours was sitting up on the chair after nursing and still holding the baby. Funny how you just know not to move and drop the baby. I did that SO many times with the Kid. (Not the dropping, just the sleeping in the chair.)

But last night changed that. I pumped about 2 oz for Hubby to give the Baby at around 9PM. Then he got him to sleep and the Baby didn't wake up until THREE AM! Wow. That was a nice stretch of sleep! So I got up and nursed the Baby and put him back down and it's now around 8:50 AM and he is STILL sleeping!! I know it's a fluke and tonight he will be back to feeding every 2 hours. I have no delusions that the Baby will be sleeping in 6 hour stretches again any time soon! LOL!

The Kid went to the Safari at Great Adventure with my MIL and SIL on Sunday. It was a nice quiet day here at the house. Of course, I wasn't able to nap. Every time I put the Baby down I had to clean up. We had my mom, step-dad, MIL, FIL and my grandparents here for dinner. All I had to do was clean up our stuff. My grandmother did all the cooking. They are leaving for Florida in a couple weeks and wanted to have a nice Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner since they won't see us until May, unless we go down there and visit during the winter.

On Saturday's the Kid is going to a kid's woodworking class with daddy. It is some nice bonding time for them and some quiet time for me. He has been an awesome big brother!!

Covered in paint from class.

And I have finished a post and it's 9:20...and the Baby is STILL sleeping, even though I went and took that picture of him at 9am and he flinched at the flash but still didn't wake up. My milk machines are starting to get full and sore!!

My First Day Off in Four Years

Today my MIL and SIL took the Kid to Great Adventure. It was the first day that I have been with out him all day! It was kinda weird. My MIL has family visiting from Ireland this week, so it was about 10 of them that went. And one is a 5 yr old little girl. I was told he was loving playing with her all day.

I got his crazy amount of toys organized, why yes, there is a floor under there! Went out to lunch by myself. Got the new car washed (since there was bird poop all over it.) And came back and finished up the toys. Hubby was upstairs working all day.

It's 8pm and the Kid is still not home. They were stopping for ice cream just outside the park...if he makes it. I heard he had a hard day of playing, so he is going to be exhausted.

I said to the Hubby that it's going to be weird not seeing him since 11 this morning and him coming home asleep and I won't get any hugs and kisses until tomorrow. He felt the need to remind me that he does that all the time. When he leaves for work we are always sleeping and sometimes when he comes home we are both sleeping. Poor Daddy. Now I know how he feels.

Yesterday we had SO much fun. A friend of mine is a member at a pool and we went to visit her (the Kid's girlfriend- the same family we were at the boards with, and no I haven't heard anything more about that baby.) The pool was AMAZING! I was moving my legs ways that I just can't do on land anymore. My back was SO much better (until I started cleaning up the damn toys today.) We have a pool party at my Dad's cousin's house on Sunday. You better believe I'll be in there relaxing! We are skipping the hospital tour for the pool party! I figure you've seen one birthing room, you've seen them all. Right? Actually, we already saw the floor during the Kid's big brother class last Saturday when they showed the kids the nursery, so we are passing on going again until we have to!

I can't believe there is only one more week of summer and then Labor Day weekend! I am going to try to get to Sesame Place in PA on Monday. I should be feeling good after being in the pool all day on Sunday. And it's not a huge park and I won't be hot since there is mostly water there anyway.
And I plan on going to the beach at LEAST twice next week! :)

Great Adventure

We went to Great Adventure on Thurs. It was meant to be a couple hours that lasted aaaaallllllllllll day. We had a pair of free tickets from last fall that would have expired today, so we had to go. First, we went to this place around the corner and had the mother of all breakfasts. We really gorged ourselves and rode out to the Safari. Of course, we all had to 'go' before we started to drive through.

I normally don't take pictures of the animals anymore in the drive through. The Kid has been through there a million times (well, at least 6) and I have taken every picture there could possibly be for him to collect. He LOVES the animals. Except for this time. The Zebras had a couple new babies, and one was nursing on his mommy. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen, so I had to dig out the camera and get a shot.

Warning: Mini Rant ahead

They freaking changed the age limit for the free kids this year. The Kid was free last Sept when we went and he was 3, well he is still freaking 3 and we were 'supposed' to pay for him. It was under 4 is free now it is under 3...read 2 AND under free. We just put him in the stroller and breezed on in and no asked any questions, which is good since the Kid has been telling people he is 4 already since we had his birthday celebration at school already. It's not like he got much taller. He could still only go on the same rides he did last year. I would have totally played the pregnancy card (ie. I CAN'T go on any rides, so why should I even have to pay??) if they gave us a hard time.

But no one did...thank goodness, because I don't know if I'd really have the balls to play the pregnant card. Then we went in and I just took a few pics. Here is my favorite. The rest didn't come out that great.

God he is getting SO big. I have another shot from 2 years ago at the same fountain. And no, he isn't on his tip toes in the shot above. The railing is no longer in his armpits!

Next year we will be getting season passes.

So the reason the day was Soooooooo long.... after we left G.A. we went to grab a bite to eat. It was aournd 3 (and breakfast had passed and we were starving), and somehow he didn't pass out, yet. So we went through McDs drive through and then headed over to the Jackson Outlets and the Stride Rite store for new shoes for the Kid. We got an awesome firtruck light up pair for only $20! Then we HAD to stop at the Disney store and spent some more money. Finally we realized it was 5:30! Ooops. The Kid STILL didn't pass out on the way home and didn't go to bed until 8:30. What time was he up the next day? .... 6:30 AM!

I can't believe that tomorrow is actually June! Half this year is almost over already...anyone else feel like it was just January??
